Please note that to travel on the Glacier Express you need both a seat reservation and a valid ticket.Seat reservations for the upcoming season, starting in December, are available from mid-October.1st and 2nd class: Seat reservations are available from 93 days before the date of travel.
Excellence Class: Seat reservations are available from October for the entire upcoming season until the next October, tickets from 180 days before the date of travel.
Partial closure of the route on March 21 and 22, 2026
Please note that due to construction work, the Glacier Express route between Chur and Domat-Ems Werk is closed on the 21st and 22nd of March 2026. For guests boarding or alighting in Chur, a replacement bus will be available for the short distance on both days, taking them from Chur station directly to the Glacier Express or from the Glacier Express to Chur station.
Unfortunately, routes starting/ending in Chur are not available yet for booking on the relevant travel dates for technical reasons. However, we are working hard to resolve this issue and ask for your patience.
